Industry editions

One platform. Your industry's words.

Touch SMS ships as four editions of the same product. Tell us your industry when you sign up and the workspace renames itself, seeds the fields and automations your sector actually uses, and switches on the screens that only make sense for you. Same inbox. Same channels. Same price.

How it works

An edition is not a different product

It is the same platform, dressed for the job. Nothing is re-installed, nothing is migrated, and you can change your mind later without losing a single conversation.

1

Pick your industry at signup

Choose your business category when you register and the edition is selected for you. A super admin can set or change it later from your tenant settings.

2

The workspace re-words itself

Contacts become Guests, Students or Subscribers. Groups become Segments, Cohorts or Subscriber Segments. Your team reads the screens in the language they already speak on the floor.

3

Your sector's content is seeded

Custom fields, segments, issue categories, routing departments and a full set of ready-written message journeys are created on day one, editable, not locked.

Choose yours

Four editions, one subscription

Every edition carries the whole platform. What changes is the vocabulary, the extra screens and the automations that ship ready to run.

Hospitality Edition

Hotels, lodges, resorts, guest houses, serviced apartments and short-stay rentals.

Turns guest messages into a booking pipeline, runs the stay from pre-arrival to review request, and keeps the AI away from a safety message.

  • Contacts→Guests
  • Chat Inbox→Guest Inbox
  • Drip Sequences→Guest Journeys
  • Complaints→Guest Issues
  • Touch AI→Concierge AI

Higher Education Edition

Universities and colleges marketing, admissions and registry working the same funnel.

Scores enquiries by application intent, moves applicants from prospectus to enrolment, and chases the deadlines that decide whether a student actually registers.

  • Contacts→Students
  • Chat Inbox→Enquiry Inbox
  • Drip Sequences→Student Journeys
  • Complaints→Student Cases
  • Touch AI→Admissions AI

ISP Edition

Internet and broadband providers running connections, installations, renewals and support.

Takes a new connection through site survey and installation to a live service, then keeps the subscriber paying with recurring renewal journeys.

  • Contacts→Subscribers
  • Chat Inbox→Customer Care Inbox
  • Drip Sequences→Subscriber Journeys
  • Complaints→Support Tickets
  • Touch AI→Support AI

Not in one of these three?

The Standard edition is the product with no industry wording and no seeded content, the unified inbox, six channels, Touch AI, campaigns, drip automation and the full reporting suite, in plain business English. Retail, finance, healthcare, NGOs, logistics and professional services all run on it today. The safety guardrail on the AI is switched on for every edition, including this one. Compare

What each edition adds

Everything below the first group is shared. The differences are the words on screen, the pipeline stages, and the handful of screens that only exist where they earn their place.

Counts are what the edition seeds on day one. Every field, segment, category, department and journey is yours to rename, rewrite, add to or delete, the preset is a starting point, not a cage.

Shared foundations

The parts that never change

An edition changes what your team reads and what runs automatically. It never changes how your data is held, who can see it, or what the AI is allowed to answer.

The safety guardrail is not an industry feature

Every inbound message on every edition, including Standard, is checked against a fixed emergency keyword list before the AI ever sees it. On a match the automated reply is blocked and the message goes to a person. The check is deliberately not AI-driven, so it still answers when an AI provider is slow or offline, and it fails toward the human. It is never gated behind a plan.

Questions

About the editions

No. Editions are part of the product, not an add-on. Your plan decides how many channels, team members and stored records you get, the industry wording, the seeded content and the extra screens come with whichever plan you are on. The Hospitality Edition additionally offers hotel-shaped plan names and a founding-property rate; see the Hospitality pricing.
Yes, and nothing is lost. The underlying data model is identical for every edition, a hotel and a college read the same tables with different labels, so switching re-words the workspace and offers to seed the new edition's content. Your conversations, contacts, campaigns and reports stay exactly where they are.
No. Each part of a preset is applied only if it is missing, so applying it twice changes nothing the second time, and content you have already written is never replaced. Every seeded item is fully editable afterwards.
The mechanics are shared; the stages and wording are not. A hotel works New Enquiry to Booked, a college works New Enquiry to Enrolled through Applied, Offer Made and Accepted, and an ISP works New Enquiry to Connected through Site Survey and Installation Booked. The classifier that scores intent is written per edition too, the one that reads a room enquiry would return nothing useful on an admissions chat.
A tenant has one edition. Groups running, say, a hotel and a college usually run a workspace for each so that each team gets its own pipeline, departments and reporting. Talk to us and we will work out the cleanest arrangement for your structure.
